This is the Home of Barbara and Ray Gregg at 109 McCallister Dr.  Barbara's passion for her garden makes her display a delight to see. She is being featured soon on Volunteer Gardener which airs on channel 8 at 7.30 on Thursday nights and 9:30 on Sunday Mornings. Well done Barbara and Ray!

The objective of this award is to inspire pride in Polk Place Neighborhood.  A well-cared for neighborhood draws buyers’ and visitors’ attention, and drives up house prices. Care of our properties is an important price determinant when selling a home. According to a study by Clemson University and the University of Michigan, consumers value a landscaped home up to 11.3% higher than its base price, as reported in Smart Money magazine.

Selection Committee is made up of some members of the Polk Place Home and Garden Club

Rules

1. One home per month will be selected March through December
2. No home can be selected more than once per calendar year
3. Homes of the selection committee are not eligible
4. Selection will be made during the last week of each month
5. Homes will be selected for their visual attractiveness from the curb using an evaluation criteria sheet
6. Seasonal additions, such as Halloween and Christmas decorations will also be considered in the selection committee’s choice
7. A sign is placed in the winning yard and will remain there until the next month
8. Winning homes will be displayed on the Polk Place Community Association Website  with the homeowner’s name and address
