Pam Beall of McCallister Court loves working from home. “I can always go back to an office job, but I cannot go back and raise my children,” she says.
            A director with Southern Living at Home, Pam has 25 consultants on her team. The exquisite home décor products she sells are irresistible to homeowners like those in Polk Place who take exceptional pride in their residences.
           “ I chose this business because it is a product that sells itself.  Southern Living at Home is a division of Southern Living magazine and so many people love the magazine that they want to buy our products. Our products are set apart from other home decor products because we have  an excusive pottery line with Gail Pittman who is from Jackson, Ms.  We also have products which cannot be found in retail stores,” Mrs. Beall says. 
           A warm and engaging person whose home reflects the elegant and yet comfortable style of the Southern Living at Home products, Pam says working at home “provides the flexibility I need. It allows me to stay at home with my children and be involved in their activities.” The day we met for a photograph, her children, both students at Poplar Grove, a Franklin Special School District school with a non-traditional calendar, were at home.
           “I found out about Southern Living at Home from my sisters who went to parties in Alabama. They called and said ‘This is the perfect fit and it sells itself because everyone knows about Southern Living magazine,’” Mrs. Beall says. She has done six parties in Polk Place, all in the back portion of the neighborhood, where her family lives. 
           “Our hostess awards are fabulous!  A hostess gets free and half-price products based on how much the guests purchase at a party.  My hostesses normally get around $200 in free product and 4 to 6 half-price items,” she says.
            “I am currently having a 10% off sale on all products starting April 1st through April 25th.  I do this each year for Mother's Day because all moms love Southern Living at Home.  I will even do the gift wrapping for free!!  We also have monthly specials for hostesses and customers which change monthly.  It is normally a 60-70% reduction on our products.  The April specials make great Mother's day and teacher's gifts.  Orders placed before April 25th are guaranteed to be here by Mother's Day,” she adds.
