A group of Polk Place residents have coordinated the "Mixins 'n Fixins" fundraising event to benefit Graceworks and Meals on Wheels as part of their participation in the annual Make a Difference Day. This is the 9th year that neighbors in our community have participated in this national service event which emphasizes volunteering in communities. 

The "Mixins 'n Fixins" fundraiser will be held at the Elks Lodge #72 at 485 Oak Meadow Drive on Friday, Sept. 25 at 6:30 p.m. Come enjoy an evening of "mixins 'n fixins" from Famous Dave's - includes BBQ sandwiches, chicken, beans, coleslaw, potato salad, bread pudding, and iced tea. There will be a cash bar, silent auction, dancing, and door prizes.

Tickets are $25 and are available through Graceworks at 794-9055,  Toni Themis at 599-4541, or Susan at 582-2202. Please make checks for the event tickets payable to "Fight Hunger Charities."
