POOL SEASON 2012 IS HERE!!!!
We are looking forward to another year of fun in the SUN here in Polk Place. Please take time to review the guidelines for participation. The pool is run and operated with its own budget and in such it has to pay for its own operations. With this being said it is very important for each family to take stewardship and be good users of the facility.
We want to take time to recognize the families who have already volunteering time to take a week of service. And we still are only half way…we need more families to take a week.

Our pool season runs from around Memorial Day through Labor Day week for 15 weeks in total. We would like to extend service time this year on past Labor Day weekend and close after Labor Day Weekend so that those who have that time off of work can enjoy those last days of summer. However this is all dependent on volunteers and getting 15 families to help. We are well on our way and at the ½ way point with our families. The time commitment is small and easy. The plan is 1 family for 1 week, if during this time you have 1 or 2 days that you cannot cover, than you can swap with one of the other families a day or two for coverage.
Duties are basic, straighten chairs, check the bathroom, double check that the pool company has serviced their areas, make sure the trash container is pushed back from the curb from trash pickup or pushed out the night before and so forth. We will have an in service day prior to the pool opening for the volunteers to cover the expectations.
If you see trash please pick it up, if you see a problem please report it to the pool company. The numbers are posted on the bulletin board in the central hall way.
You will notice some items this year that have been completed on the pool house. The bathrooms have been painted and the floors have had some maintenance that should help them serve the community well for this season.

Pool Dues Collection & Key Deposits

Time: 2-4 pm
Cost to join is $195 for the pool season and the refundable key deposit is $25.00
***note all keys from the previous year issues are being disabled, if you want to keep the same key bring it so we can program it and activate it for you.
Pool Opens May 26th at 7:00am to 9:00pm
Pool Closes Sept 9th (tentative goal)
For families who volunteer there will be a volunteer overview night Tuesday night May 22nd at 6:00pm come bring the helpers and make it a family event… this will be a fun night!
