SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK. NO LIFEGUARDS ARE ON DUTY.
- Admittance to pool is only to pool members and their accompanied guests. Anyone else will be trespassing, and may be prosecuted.
- Pool hours are from 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. No one is permitted in the pool area after 9:00 p.m.
- Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult or a designated caregiver over 16.
- Guests may be NON-POLK PLACE residents ONLY. Anyone 15 years or older will be limited to 1 guest per family.
- The pool gates are to remain latched during swim hours for safety reasons. A key card is required for entry into the pool. Always bring your key card with you when you come to swim.
- Resident parents are responsible for their children and their guests (whether parent is at pool or not) and are required to familiarize their children with pool rules.
- The pool must be cleared for 30 mins after thunder and lightening.
- For safety reasons, no diving, running, pushing, roughhousing, dunking, jumping off waterfall etc., will be permitted. .
- Clean up in the pool area is the responsibility of the resident that brings the food and beverage items in. Please help place any trash you see in proper receptacles. Our fees do not pay for janitor service.
- No glass containers, bottles, dishes or breakable items are permitted in the pool areas. Gum is not permitted in the pool area.
- Members are expected to be courteous to others. There will be no “saving” of seats/ loungers or tables, or use of loud radios or boom boxes.
- No smoking in pool area or pool house or pool property .
- No alcoholic beverages should be consumed by anyone under 21 years of age. Please be discreet with containers of alcoholic beverages. We want a family atmosphere at the pool.
- Water wings, small round floats, snorkel tubes, facemasks, and soft rubber/plastic balls under 12" in diameter are permitted. No water guns, roller blades, heelys, skateboards, bicycles, or scooters are permitted in the pool area. Bikes are to be placed in the bike rack.
- No one with open or infected wounds is allowed in the pool.
- The toddler pool is only for small children and their parents.
- Infants and children not potty trained must wear rubber pants or swim diapers. This is a very important rule! Leaky diapers could result in the pool being closed for 24 hours. Costs associated with the clean up will be paid by the resident responsible for the child.
- No pets except for certified service animals.
- Cut-offs and other improper swimwear are not permitted in the pool.
- The health and safety of those using the pool is ultimately their own responsibility. The POLK PLACE pool committee and the Board of Directors assume no responsibility. Members (residents) and guests can have no claim against the pool committee, Board of Directors, residents past or present, Sunset Pools, for any accident or injury. Furthermore, the pool committee and the Board of Directors are not responsible for loss or damage of personal property. Members are responsible for damage or injuries they (including their children) or their guests may cause.
- The Pool Committee shall have authority when they deem necessary to expel anyone at anytime for violation of these rules, use of abusive language, apparent intoxication or disrespect of pool committee volunteers. Individuals expelled may not return to the facilities for a week, and may be subject to permanent expulsion. A repeat expulsion will be permanent and no refund will be given.
- The Pool Committee and/or the Board of Directors will address other issues as they arise, and reserve the right to change, modify or alter these rules as appropriate.
Please adhere to these rules and politely remind others if they happen to forget them. This is OUR pool. Let’s ALL help in creating an enjoyable facility.
